The California Apartment Association Political Action Committee (CAAPAC) is committed to preserving and advancing its members’ interests through political advocacy at the local and state government levels.
As a bi-partisan effort, CAAPAC operates on behalf of the Association making political contributions to Democrats and Republicans who are receptive to the concerns of rental property owners and managers statewide.
Make no mistake; special interest groups, such as the trial lawyers, spent almost two million dollars in 2009 and 2010 lobbying the legislature on their political agenda. It is critical that we protect our business from these special interest groups who seek to impose threats such as a split roll property tax, new inspection fees, and a myriad of costly mandates.
